Working on our next EP | News

Back from SXSW. We're getting a few songs ready to finish up our next ep. It will be a mixture of new songs and old. Just a few things we need to purge before we get to work on putting together a full length. In the meantime, we'll be playing locally and such so keep an eye on the shows page. On this day in 1965, Chivu Stoica became President of the Council of Romanian People's Republic & Nicolae Ceausescu was appointed 1st Secretary of Romanian communist party. Just thought you'd like to know.

Greetings all. Just a quick update to let you know what has been going on in our world lately. We are gearing up to play some shows at South By Southwest and are looking forward to the very long drive there and back where we will be deeply engaged in important discussions about things like: ifyou had to choose, would you rather have hot dogs for fingers, or have to walk backwards everywhere? These are the types of things on our minds a lot of the time.

Manic has spent several long nights during the past few months writing and working up new material; some of which will find its way onto our second EP, due out in early Summer 07'. We are slated to go into the studio at the end of the month and will be working with Sean Jimmerson, who produced and recorded a few songs on the 'Floorboards' EP. We are all very pleased with our debut video for the song 'Chemicals for Criminals', which was shot and directed by visual wizard Yann Millard. You can view the video on our myspace page, at manicband.com, suretone.com and YouTube. Hit us up and let us know what you think. We also took some new photos which should be up shortly. In other news, the song 'Chemicals for Criminals' has been added to the Filter Magazine 2007 Pssst... Compilation CD! Look for it in the current issue of Filter Magazine, available at most newsstands, Borders and Barnes & Noble Bookstores.
