Estes Park Center - Yoga Journal Conference, Estes Park, CO | Concert

Trevors concert is to benefit YouthAIDs and takes place on the last Saturday night of the annual Yoga Journal Conference held at the Estes Park Center YMCA of the Rockies located 70 miles northwest of Denver and 40 miles from Boulder. This is an all ages show and will be an amazing evening.

Trevor Hall is leaving California once again and will be hitting the South and Mid-West and (maybe) coming to a town near you starting this Monday April 7th. He will be performing with the incredible Colbie Caillat in Orlando FL, Russelville AR, New Orleans (the day after Jazz Fest), Austin TX, Tulsa OK, Covington KY, Des Moines IA and Omaha NE.

Trevor will also be headlining shows in Chicago, Greencastle, IN, Dallas TX, Denver, Boulder and will be performing at the Sunsation Festival at the Copper Mountain Resort in Breckenridge, CO and just might be sitting in with Matisyahu later that day at the fest – if you are there you do not want to miss that!

Then in Sewanee, TN and Due West, SC Trevor will be opening shows for the fabulous Sister Hazel. The details for all these shows are listed on Trevor’s website and at myspace.com/trevorhall now. Plus there will be some additional shows posted soon. So save the dates because we would love to see you out there on the road and tickets are going fast. Lots of love from everyone in the camp!

I just scheduled a last minute show at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah for this coming Monday (1/21) at the Synchronized Green Initiative Music Series @ The Side Car Bar, 333 Main Street in Park City and it is a FREE show (21+) – lots of great bands performing there. This coming Wednesday (1/23) I will be back in LA at The Derby – this will be an awesome show – come on down!!!! It will be the last LA show before I go out with Colbie Caillat again in California, Colorado and one show in Salt Lake. After the Colbie shows I will be touring up and down the east coast with The Wailers starting February 20^th all the way down to the Langerado Festival in Florida on 3/8. Hope to see you on the road!

This Wednesday, Jan. 9th, I will be playing a show in Los Angeles with a good friend of mine...Mr. Samuel Markus. I go on around 8:30 and my friend Sam goes on around 11 PM.

Wednesday, Jan. 9th is also the appearance day of His Holiness Emperor Haile Selassie I Jah Rastafari. We will be singing some special songs in honor of His Holiness.

And if you can't make that show, i'll be back at The Derby on 1/23 and 2/21

BENEFIT CONCERT!

Trevor Hall

This Friday June, 22 2007 at Benefit Concert at the Neighborhood Congregational Church
340 St. Anns Drive, Laguna Beach, California 92651
Cost : $15 Mininum Donation

A benefit concert for the orphan children of the Yoga Vedanta Kutir in Allahabad, India. This concert is being put on by Trevor himself and all proceeds will benefit the children in India.

Dearest Friends...

In January, I was very blessed to have had the chance to travel to India. I stayed in many beautiful temples and ashrams and met many wonderful yogis and saints. During my stay in Allahabad at the Kumbha Mela, I was blessed to have stayed at the Yoga Vedanta Kutir, My Grandfather Guru's ashram. In the ashram, I had the privilige of meeting "the ashram boys" which consisted of 5 or 6 young boys between the ages of 5 and 14. These boys were the most divine little boys I have ever met. They served so selflessly around the ashram, taught me the game of cricket, showed me their yoga postures, and sang chants with me. I learned that all of these boys were orphans at one time or another, and the head of the ashram took them in, cleaned them up, taught them yoga, and sent them to school. When leaving the ashram, I couldn't help but shed tears while saying good bye to the boys. They touched my heart in so many ways.

After returning from India, the idea of doing something for them kept occuring in my mind. Now that I have enough time, I am putting on a benefit concert for these boys in Laguna Beach on June 22nd at 8PM. All proceeds will benefit their education, clothing, food, etc. We will have a silent auction, snaks, books, incense all available for purchase.

Whoever could attend, I would appreciate it so so so much. It would not only mean so much to me, but also to the boys and the head of the ashram in India. Please tell as many people as you know.

Dear Baba...

Well...Onward and Upward. What a trip...what a trip. These past 3 weeks have seemed like years. My mind is so warped. It is so weird sitting here in the Kolkata airport about to fly back to America. I can't believe I'm going back. America and India are completely different worlds. I remember how nervous I was in coming, but I think I am a little more nervous to go back. But what to fear? You are with me, Ma is with me, Hanuman is carrying me on His shoulders the whole way. Nothing to fear. I don't think I could've had a better last few days than I had. Bathing in the Sangam on Amavasya, then seeing Ma. It doesn't get more intense than that. On Amavasya...we woke up before sunrise. We walked down to the Sangam with just dhotis and blankets, barefoot. Pilgrims and villagers were everywhere. It was by far the most crowded place I've ever been...but I had no anxiety, for everyone's mind was turned to God. Before bathing, we stopped to watch the procession of Naga Babas. They were so intense, most of them naked, all covered in ash with huge dreadlocks. It was like seeing a million Shivas. Some were smoking chilams. Others were screaming "Mahadev! Mahadev!" I've seen them in movies but it didn't come close to seeing them in person. After getting a glimpse, we continued on to the Sangam as the sun came up. It felt like it was sunset...time was non-existent. We were in a karma free zone. We had to undress kind of far away because it was so packed. Shambo watched our clothes as we pushed our way through pilgrims only in our kaupins. My heart was beating so fast. The energy was amazing. These people were the most beautiful people I have ever seen. They had nothing, but had everything. All driven by completely unwavering faith in the Divine. There were children, babies, women, old men who looked like you could break their bones just by touching them. It was totally insane. And then...the bath. We all hiked into the pure Amrit. It was so amazing. Oh Mother, we are all your children. That day, we bathed, swam, and laughed in Your milk. I have never felt so young. It was the biggest celebration...total Divine chaos. Some people were laughing, some were crying, some were carrying on normal conversations while in the water. I looked one way, and Swamiji was talking to a man telling him that he came every year and how India was the greatest. I looked another way and a father was dunking his two boys under while one was crying and the other laughing. Total Divine chaos. I can close my eyes and I am right there all over again. We got out and shivered and smiled our whole way back to the Ashram. Mother, You are everything. Who can grasp Your glory? Your bliss is indescribable. That day, we got smaller than a blood cell in Your little toe of grace. What to know of Your whole form? Jai Ma! Jai Ma! Jai Ma! What else is there to say?

Who is great at shooting video?

We are looking for cool people come out and shoot parts of each show and interviews with fans and the band. We want it to be fun and creative. If you are selected you will get tickets and a backstage pass. We have a camera if you don't want to use yours and if you can't edit the footage we'll take care of that too. I just returned home from my trip to Bonnaroo. What an amazing festival.
I did not expect so many people to come and see me perfrom. It meant so much. Thank all of you who showed up and supported me with your love and kindness. It truly made my Bonnaroo experience worth it. I hope we all get to meet again on the road soon.
I learned a lot from the festival. It really re assured me about the power of music. It was so beautiful to see so many people of all walks of life moving and dancing together in unity. We are so blessed to experience this power first hand. I hope that we all continue to love and respect each other in this manner.

If he wasn't lucky enough to be blessed with ample songwriting and guitar skills, Hilton Head, SC-born Trevor Hall got to blow off high school to live it up at a performing arts school in Palm Springs. We wish we had such hip parents! While out in the sun, Hall fell in with a slew of international students, through whom he became enchanted with Indian music, and the spirit as a songwriting subject. "Before I got into spirits, most of my songs were about breaking up and high school problems," he laughs. "Now I try to use them to describe spirits as best I can." Now 19 and based in the O.C., Hall caught the ear of talents scouts while gigging in L.A. His debut full-length, At the Top of the Mountain, is due in late summer from Geffen, which has previewed the disc with the four-song The Rascals Have Returned, which conjures a rootsier, earthier Dave Matthews.

It's almost over... | Diary

We just played chicago last night. It was such a wonderful show. Matisyahu came out for the last song, "Children of Immortal Bliss", to sing a rhyme. The feeling of sharing the stage with a spiritual giant is one that no words can describe.
After we performed, we came back to the hotel, ordered room service, and played dominos. I can never win in that stupid game. Everytime i think i am going to win, somebody else scores a bunch of points and i lose. it is so frustrating.
we are about to check out...on our way to indiana and then new york. there are only 2 more dates with Matisyahu. It's always bittersweet at the end of tour. We have all established these beautiful relationships...but it is time to go. Out of all of the tours i have been on....this tour has meant the most to me. There is so much spirit everynight....so much to learn from. I feel so blessed to be sharing a tour with Matisyahu. Hopefully it won't be the last.
